Better Than Ezra: Than Ever?

Alternative rockers Better Than Ezra will be featured in The Saturday Early Show's Second Cup Café this weekend. The critically acclaimed New Orleans natives, best known for their hit single "Good," will perform music from their fourth CD, "Before The Robots."

On the program, they will perform "Good," as well as "A Lifetime" and "Our Last Night."

Better Than Ezra began as a roots rock outfit with slight elements of both country and punk; originally formed in 1988, the band included Kevin Griffin (vocals, guitar), Joel Rundell (guitar), Tom Drummond (bass), and Cary Bonnecaze (drums) while all were attending Louisiana State University.

After the suicide of Rundell on Aug. 8, 1990, the other members first went their own ways, but they had reunited by the end of the year. They moved to Los Angeles and kept working, eventually coming up with the radio hit "Good." By 1996, Bonnecaze had decided to leave the band and was replaced by Travis McNabb.
