Berlinale Film Festival Announces Lineup

Berlin's film festival says it has chosen the first competition movies for February's 10-day event, with entries from the U.S., China, Britain and Germany among them.

The Berlinale festival says the other films come from Algeria, Greece and Sweden, too.

Titles include the international premieres of the U.S.-British film "The Messenger' starring Ben Foster and Woody Harrelson and the Chinese film "Mei Lanfang" (Forever Enthralled) by "Farewell My Concubine" director Chen Kaige. The festival will also feature the world premiere of the British-American production "Rage" starring Judi Dench and Jude Law.

Non-competition films include the German-American production of "The Reader" starring Kate Winslet and Ralph Feinnes, and the American "Pink Panther II" starring Steve Martin.
