Report: "Beardo" the serial bank robber caught

EVERETT, Wash. -- A man suspected of wearing a fake beard while robbing banks at least seven times in 2015 has been arrested, reports CBS affiliate KIRO.

Christian Franzwa, 57, was arrested at around 11 a.m. in Everett, the city where all seven of the bank robberies occurred between June 1 and Dec. 23, 2015.

Everett Police say they learned information that shaved the list of "Beardo" suspects to just Franzwa. He was wearing something similar to a fake beard when he was arrested, police say.

Franzwa, an Everett resident, was booked for seven counts of Robbery in the 1st Degree.
