Bachus Leaning Yes

Rep. Spencer Bachus (R-Ala.), who want from being inside the negotiations to watching on the side, is now coordinating House Republican speeches on the floor. He had come out opposed to the bailout deal negotiated by congressional leaders. Now, he's leaning yes.

"I’m not sure we have a choice," Bachus told The Crypt this morning. "Sure, we always have a choice," he added, but said that the risk of not voting for the bill was greater than voting for it. "I think the American people want us to make the hard choice."

He added that he thought a majority of House Republicans will support the bill.
