The speaker specifically addresses the German people in particular and offers a solution to the global financial crisis based on Islamic law.
"How could people allow their money to be squandered? Where has it gone? Has it vanished into thin air or gone to secret bank accounts?" he says according to the Arabic translation.

"Where are the taxes that the German people need badly today? They are being spent on the soldiers in Afghanistan who do everything but fight," he added, arguing that capitalism has repeatedly failed as a system.
