AQIM Tries To Set Up Operations In Morocco

The leader of a terror cell arrested recently in Morocco, Abdel Qader Belerej, told an investigative judge that al Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb (AQIM) has been trying to smuggle weapons from the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany into Morocco. Belerejh said a shipment of explosives, rockets, machine guns and other light weapons worth 500,000 Euros was meant to be brought from Liege, Belgium, through a middle man called Mostafa Buseif. He also said that AQIM was applying the same technique used by Osama Bin Laden in the 9/11 attacks, by recruiting clean shaven, western-style dressed young people and giving them military training, before carrying out the attacks.
