Anna Godfrey Takes Bite Out of Man's Ear After Being Called "Fat", Police Say

Anna Godfrey (Lincoln Police Department) Lincoln Police Department

LINCOLN, Neb. (CBS/AP) When a 24-year-old Lincoln man called Anna Godrey "fat" at a party, police say Godfrey decided to settle the score the Mike Tyson way. No, not with uppercuts and jabs. They say she bit off a chuck of the man's ear.

Police spokeswoman Katie Flood says officers arrived at a Lincoln hospital around 3:25 a.m. Wednesday to talk to the man who had allegedly been injured in the "fat" attack.

According to the Lincoln Police Department, the victim and two of his friends were not getting along with others at the party so they decided to leave, but on the way out the gentlemen got into one last verbal altercation with the other partygoers.

Numerous insults were thrown across the front lawn of the Lincoln home. One of the men called Anna Godfrey "fat" - which was apparently too much for her to swallow.

Police say Godfrey ran half a block to catch up with them, and then tackled Christian Bandiola. Once there, police say she bit his right ear and caused a gash approximately 1/2"x 3/4" wide - sort of...chunk-sized.

Unfortunately for Bandiola, the cartilage and skin were not located and his ear can only be repaired by plastic surgery.

Godfrey was arrested on suspicion of felony assault and was lodged in the Lancaster County Jail.
