Ann Romney: Obama "completely wrong" on Mitt's compassion

(CBS News) President Obama's claim that presumptive GOP nominee Mitt Romney lacks the necessary compassion to be president is "just completely wrong," Romney's wife Ann told CBS News political correspondent Jan Crawford in an exclusive interview.

"When you look at his record and look how he's lived his life, he has always served others," Ann Romney said. When the former Massachusetts governor took over as chair of the 2002 Winter Olympic games, she continued, "He didn't take any salary. He left everything on the table, left his company, and went out and rescued the Olympics; didn't take any compensation."

Citing her own struggles with multiple sclerosis, she said, "When I was sick as could be... he was the one that stuck by my side and helped me through my hardest hour. Is that someone without compassion?

"So, you know, they're just trying to portray him in a light that is just completely wrong," she said.
