All-Stars Of Soul

Two years ago, a group of the world's leading jazz and r&b instrumentalists got together and formed the Cafe Soul All-Stars. Their goal was to make music that engaged people emotionally, intellectually and spiritually.

They were so pleased with the sound that they decided to cut an album and invite some of today's top talent to sing with them. The collaboration resulted in a new album, "Love Pages."

The All-Stars, along with two-time Grammy-winning vocalist Peabo Bryson and R&B singer-songwriter Vesta, were scheduled to perform three of their new songs on Nov. 26, 2005 on CBS News Saturday Morning.

The Café Soul All-Stars is the brainchild of You Global Entertainment chairman and CEO and Essence Magazine co-founder Clarence O. Smith and his longtime friend, musician and producer Duke Jones.

The seasoned group of musical talent includes the legendary Bobby Lyle on keyboards, Kaspar Galli on guitar, Steve Williams on drums, Rene McLean on sax, and Alex Blake on bass. Jones rounds out the group on trumpet.
