A Tale of Two Joes

(CBS)
From CBS News' John Bentley:

(ST. CHARLES, MO.) – The choice facing voters next month is between two Joe's, John McCain's friend Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., said at a rally here today – "Joe the Biden," as Graham referred to him, and "Joe the Plumber."

"Joe the Biden, the third most liberal member of the United States Senate has a lot to say and if you say a lot you'll eventually be right about something. Joe the Biden said a couple of days ago that within the first six months, Barack Obama would be tested as president," Graham said, referring to Biden's comments that "we're going to have an international crisis, a generated crisis, to test the mettle of this guy," once Obama is elected. The McCain campaign has seized on his comment to try and make the point that Obama is not ready to handle a foreign policy crisis.

"Let me tell you, in his entire life, John McCain has passed every test given to him," Graham added.

Graham went to say that McCain was also the right choice on the economy for average Joe's everywhere. "I am proud to be by my friend John McCain, who I can tell you, ladies and gentlemen, presents the best hope for all of the Joe Plumber's of the world," he said.
