911 Call: Show Me the Money

Vista, Calif., November 22, 2000

Three masked gunmen take bank manager Michelle Renee, her seven year-old daughter Breea, and their roommate Kimbra, hostage, strap dynamite to their backs, and force Michelle to hand over $360,000 from her bank. Once the hostages are released, Kimbra speaks to a 911 operator, hoping police can capture the robbers.

Michelle Renee is able to identify one of the gunmen as Christopher Butler, the man who had visited her bank and left a business card the very day of the kidnapping. Police soon arrest Christopher Butler and his co-conspirators who confess to the crime. Butler and two other men are currently serving three consecutive life sentences in the California prison system.
