True Account Of World War II Told Through Eyes Of Writer, Civil Rights Activist As A Child

STUDIO CITY (CBSLA.com) — Over 70 years later, she recalls the darkest moments of her own history.

Marione Ingram, writer, artist and civil rights activist stopped by KCAL9 Thursday to discuss her new book "The Hands of War: A Tale of Endurance and Hope, from a Survivor of the Holocaust".

Ingram survived the Holocaust, the fire-bombing of Hamburg, Germany and the incendiary efforts of Mississippi's Ku Klux Klan. She came to the United States and became engaged in the civil rights movements.

The book is a true account of World War II told through the eyes of Ingram as a child.
