Southlanders React To News Of Bin Laden's Death

Word quickly spread of the death of world's most-wanted terrorist. One woman found out by a text message from her son.

"It was so stunning to me. So I said, 'Noah, is it true?' He said, 'Yes mom, it's true," said Marcia Orcutt.

Much of the initial reaction out of New York and Washington was that of celebration. Los Angeles was no different.

"For some strange reason I turned on the TV and there were the twin towers... I think America has cause to cheer, I think the world has cause to cheer," Mark Farber said.

But others were more skeptical, wanting to see proof.

"Do they have pictures of the body? Can they show it on TV or something like that? I'd like to see that; I haven't seen anything yet," said Gil Cabera.

"Hard to believe that it's finally happened. But I'm sure that there is going to be a lot of world response and we'll see what happens. But it has got to be good for everybody," Howard Beanenson said.
