Redmond O'Neal Charged With Felony Heroin Possession

LOS ANGELES (CBS) — The son of Ryan O'Neal and the late Farrah Fawcett was charged Thursday with felony heroin possession two days after his arrest during a traffic stop.

Redmond O'Neal, 26, is expected to be arraigned Thursday at the Airport Branch Courthouse. O'Neal also faces a charge of possessing a firearm by a felon.

O'Neal was arrested Tuesday morning after allegedly failing to stop for a red light in Santa Monica and officers found heroin in the car. Redmond has a string of drug-related arrests and is on probation from a previous case.

O'Neal has been held without bail since Tuesday.
