Panga Boat Intercepted Off Malibu Coast
MALIBU (CBSLA.com) — The U.S. Coast Guard Thursday intercepted a panga boat off the coast of Malibu.
Los Angeles County Lifeguards spotted the fast moving boat around 7 a.m. near Zuma Beach and alerted the Coast Guard who launched two boats and a helicopter.
After a 30 minute chase, the two suspects finally surrendered approximately five miles south of Leo Carrillo.
Authorities arrested the two men and recovered 26 bails of marijuana, officials said.
