Classes Resume After Lockdown At Echo Park School
ECHO PARK (CBS) — LAUSD officials have canceled a lockdown at an Echo Park elementary school.
Betty Plasencia Elementary School located at 1321 Cortez St., was put on lockdown around 8 a.m. Monday after police received a call about an unruly man with a gun near the school. The school was put on lockdown as a precaution.
According to the school district, police questioned and released a man who matched the description of an armed suspect who was reportedly seen near the school.
The lockdown was canceled around 10:15 a.m. Monday.
