Crystal Cathedral Founder Rev. Robert H. Schuller Undergoing Cancer Treatment

GARDEN GROVE (CBSLA.com) — Rev. Robert H. Schuller, the founder of the Crystal Cathedral, is being treated for cancer.

Schuller's daughter, Sheila Schuller Coleman, made the announcement during church services recently.

Coleman said the 86-year-old has esophageal cancer that has spread to his lymph nodes, and said doctors gave him three months to live if he didn't undergo treatment.

Schuller agreed to chemotherapy and radiation.

Coleman said her father is in good spirits and told her he was "ready to go home and be with Jesus."
