From culinary adventures in steak and ice cream, to film festivals and special museum exhibits, there's no shortage of unique activities this week. Both kids and adults won't want to miss Hello Kitty's first North American tour, and Disney's evening of animation set to live music by the Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra. With the week culminating in the famous LA Pride parade, there's something undeniably LA to celebrate every day.

Taking on the Dodgers for a National League game tonight are the Arizona Diamondbacks. LACMA is celebrating 50 years as a Los Angeles institution with a special exhibition featuring gifts from more than 25 donors. Spanning the centuries, works on display include art by Monet, Degas, Andy Warhol, and more. This special event honors the generous donors who have helped make LACMA a world-class museum, and a Los Angeles staple. The exhibit can be seen in the Resnik Pavilion, and runs through September 13th.

Small batch ice cream company Salt & Straw is celebrating its first summer in LA by offering a special three-month series of flavors showcasing LA's sweet food scene. June's menu features scoops inspired by some of LA's most popular street food. Collaborations with Roy Choi, Mary Sue Milliken, and Susan Feniger have resulted in unique flavors like Papi's Korean Fluffernutter, Green Corn Tamales, Mole Rojo Flan, Peking Duck Buns, and Bratwursts & Mustard. These chef inspired creations are handmade downtown, and are available from June 5 - July 2.

It's that time of year again for Film Independent's Los Angeles Film Festival. Celebrating its 21st year, the event will feature a diverse slate of feature films, short films, music videos, and new media works. Signature programs like the Filmmaker Retreat and Music in Film at The GRAMMY Museum will also be included in the run. With Master Classes, live performances, and exclusive conversations, LA Film Fest offers attendees unique access to some of today's most compelling artists. The festival runs from June 10 - June 18, with a full schedule events on their website.

Opening June 7th, Glendale's The Pit will have "Lost in a Sea of Red" on display through June 18th. The exhibition will feature photography, sculpture and painting from 10 of LA's best artists. Exploring themes of transcendence and rebirth, nature and the sublime, the artists drew inspiriation from a range of sources to put together this must see exhibit.

Directed by Spike Lee, the 1989 classic "Do The Right Thing" will be playing at The Hollywood Forever Cemetery today. Part of the Cinespia weekly series, it offers guests a magical evening to watch a movie under the stars in a terrific setting. Aside from the movie, enjoy a pre-show DJ, themed photo booths, and even set up a picnic. The gates open at 7:15, and the movie starts at 9pm. Reserve a ticket here for just $15.

Sunday marks the end of the three-day LA Pride celebration in West Hollywood, culminating in the famous LA Pride Parade. Stepping off at 11:00am, the parade winds its way down Santa Monica Blvd., and features both members and supporters of the LGBT community. The parade ends at West Hollywood Park, where the fun continues with live entertainment, dancing, food and drink vendors, and more.
