Detroit Ranks In Top 5 Worst Cities To Be A Driver
DETROIT (WWJ) - If you think driving in Detroit is the absolute worst -- you're not alone. In fact, a recent study named the Motor City as one of the least driver-friendly locations in America.
According to WalletHub, a personal finance social media network, Detroit ranks 96 out of 100 when it comes to the best cities to be a driver.
The website compared the 100 most populated U.S. cities across four key dimensions: costs, traffic and road conditions, safety, and driver and car wellness.
The cities were then ranked on 21 key metrics including average gas prices, average annual traffic delays, rates of car theft and car clubs per capita.
The study found that Detroit is the fifth worst city in the U.S. to be a driver. Detroit scored 75 out of 100 on costs, 92 out of 100 on traffic and road conditions, 95 out of 100 on safety, and 85 out of 100 on driver and car wellness.
