Thousands of used guns sold by police departments end up at crime scenes
One way law enforcement works to "protect and serve” is by getting guns out of the hands of criminals, but CBS News discovered thousands of guns once carried by officers turn up at crime scenes around the country every year. A survey of more than 200 police departments found most sell or trade their used guns.
