Salvation Army discusses efforts to fight poverty

January is National Poverty in America Awareness Month. According to the latest census count, 37.9 million people live in poverty in the U.S. That's nearly 12% of the population. The issue of poverty has grown since the pandemic, with more families leaning on non-profits and community-based organizations. Salvation Army Captain A.J. Zimmerman talks about their work to end poverty.
