Thayer: 'We Should Have Won More Than One Super Bowl'

They're one of the most revered and talked about teams in Chicago sports history. The 1985 Super Bowl Champion Chicago Bears dominated the rest of the league for the entire regular and post season.

However in the years to follow, their dominant play seemed to drop off come playoffs. And it's a well known fact that they were a team that had the talent to win more than just the one Super Bowl.

"We had the beast record in the NFL the next three years after we won the Super Bowl," former Bears offensive lineman and current Bears radio broadcaster, Tom Thayer said on the Mully and Hanley Show. "Naively, becuase we were the youngest team in the league when we won the Super Bowl, we all assumed that it was going to happen more than once"

"And when we got to the playoffs the next [few] years, we realized how difficult it was to have playoff success...Post season success is a whole different animal. Coaches coach differently. Still, Given all the circumstances, we should have won more than one Super Bowl."
