Illinois Saw A Population Decrease Of 122,000

CHICAGO (CBS) -- The newest population data is out and it seems people are leaving Illinois.

That's according to census predictions which said 2021 was the worst year for population growth in the United States.

This as people moved around the country as places like New York, California and Illinois saw the biggest drops. Illinois had a net loss of more than 122,000 people in 2021.
