CHICAGO (WBBM) -- By the time Mayor Rahm Emanuel moves back into his Ravenswood home, it will blend-in more with the other houses on the block.
The Emanuel family's infamous renters are long gone and rehab work has been going on at the house in the 4200 block of North Hermitage for more than a month.
As WBBM Newsradio's Steve Miller reports, the Emanuel home had been painted blue and maroon and it stood out like the painted lady of the block.
Now, the blue and maroon are gone and it's somewhere between a beige and a pale green – call it putty.
It's closer to many of the other houses on the 4200 block of North Hermitage Avenue.
The Emanuels bought the four-bedroom, 2,700-square-foot house in December of 1998 for $695,000.
