DuPage Deputy Uses Narcan To Revive Woman After Heroin Overdose
(CBS) -- A young woman is alive after a DuPage deputy administered a fast acting heroin antidote, reports WBBM's John Cody.
A spoon, cotton and a package wrapper were clues to the cause of the young woman's condition, so deputy Timothy Jasper so administered a Narcan nasal mist.

"She was alert and responsive by the time the fire department arrived," said Peter Sterenberg of the DuPage County Sheriff's office.
Sterenberg says this is the first use of the heroin antidote Narcan which has just been issued to deputies with the DuPage County Sheriff's office.
