Mayor Emanuel was at the West Loop headquarters of the tech firm Acquity Group, trying to convince a room full of the company's young prospects to take jobs here.

University of Illinois Civil Engineering student Chris Naranjo wouldn't be anywhere else.

"I've thought of relocating but when I really come to think of it I grew up in the suburbs of Chicago and I have always thought Chicago was the greatest city," said Naranjo.

Connie Kim, a U of I engineering student from St. Louis says the Mayor cited reasons why Chicago tops her list as well. She says there are many different types of high tech companies here with opportunity to grow.

Company President Jay Dettling says Acquity will increase its staff here by 30 percent by the end of next year.
