A Week Later, Some Chihuahuas Rescued From Cramped Apartment Doing Better
(CBS) – There are encouraging signs for some of the 30 dogs rescued last week from a cramped apartment in North Chicago.
New pictures of a few of the Chihuahuas show them recovering at a rescue center in Wisconsin.
Authorities say five more dogs are at a Petco store in Bloomingdale and should be ready for adoption soon. They just need a little more time to get used to people.
Twenty-five other dogs are at several rescue shelters getting medical care.
The owner faces animal abuse charges after the dogs were found in a small one-bedroom apartment at 1301 Victoria.
