LOS ANGELES (CBS/KCAL) Dr. Munir Uwaydah, a physician who had employed Kelly Soo Park, the woman charged with killing aspiring model Juliana Redding, has been deemed a "subject of interest" in the murder, according to the Los Angeles Times.

Park is accused of beating and strangling Redding, whose body was found in March 2008, after Redding's mother alerted authorities when she was unable to contact her daughter.

NEW YORK (CBS)  An 11-year-old girl from Florida known online as 'Jessi Slaughter' is at the center of a cyberbullying frenzy, after she posted online videos threatening to kill her own online tormentors.

However, the seventh grader's attempts to get her alleged harassers to back down failed miserably, fueling a viral spiral that features her own profanity-laced You Tube videos; these, in turn, have led to death threats and a psychological evaluation of her.

NEW YORK (CBS/AP) The man dubbed the "Bouquet Bandit," who is suspected of robbing a Manhattan bank while brandishing flowers instead of a weapon, was arrested Wednesday at a Brooklyn home where he was hiding in a closet, according to police.

The publicity generated by a security photo - including front-page headlines in the city's tabloids - led to tips naming 44-year-old Edward Pemberton, Police Commissioner Raymond Kelly said while announcing the arrest.Continue »

DALLAS (CBS/AP) Suburban Dallas mother Saiqa Akhter, who is accused of killing her two young children, told a 911 operator that she first tried to poison them because they were autistic and she wanted "normal kids," then choked them with a wire until they stopped moving, according to the recorded call.

Irving police on Wednesday released recordings of the 911 call after Akhter was charged with capital murder in the death of her 5-year-old son, Zain Akhter. Police said the children were attacked at the family's apartment Monday night.Continue »
