Addressing Congress

After weeks of controversy, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is finally set to address a joint meeting of Congress today. In January, House Speaker John Boehner invited Netanyahu to address lawmakers about the Iran nuclear negotiations, which the prime minister vigorously opposes. The White House has said President Obama will not meet with Netanyahu while he is here, noting that U.S. officials have a longstanding practice of not meeting with foreign leaders so close to their elections. Here are five things to know about the speech.

Americans' views

As Netanyahu prepares to give his speechs, a CBS News poll finds Americans continue to have a positive view of Israel. The poll also shows more details about not just views on Israel, but other foreign countries, as well.

Anti-terror questioning

When Mohamed Emwazi was outed last week as "Jihadi John," the apparent head executioner for ISIS, an advocacy group in London claimed it knew him as "a beautiful young man." The implication by the group called CAGE, reports CBS News correspondent Mark Phillips, was that Emwazi was driven to murderous extremism, at least in part, by years of constant harassment by the British security services. Now, CAGE has released an audio tape of Emwazi describing to members of the group his questioning at the hands of an anti-terror officer.

Call for hearings

Senators from New York and New Jersey are demanding hearings after CBS News' "60 Minutes" reported Sunday night that insurance companies may have falsified engineering reports in order to reduce payouts, and that FEMA may have turned a blind eye to the problem, reports CBS News correspondent Nancy Cordes.

Buster Posey

The defending World Series champion San Francisco Giants take the field this afternoon for their first spring training game. They will be led once again by Buster Posey, who fans just voted the new face of Major League Baseball. Posey showed CBS News correspondent Jeff Glor how he balances home plate and home life.

Better toothpaste

Toothpaste comes in a lot of varieties and flavors, but its effectiveness hasn't changed much in decades. CBS News correspondent Ben Tracy reports that's why Silicon Valley startup Livionex is trying to redefine the way you care for your mouth.

New oracle?

The annual meeting of Warren Buffett's Berkshire Hathaway last weekend was a celebration of capitalism with a healthy serving of the billionaire's humor. Buffett is well aware of the concerns about succession planning. And while the question of who Berkshire's next chief executive will be remains unanswered, hints emerged over the weekend.

Common opt-out

Over the next month, school-age children in 43 states will be taking a standardized test linked to new federal education guidelines known as Common Core. Educators say the exams are designed to measure proficiency in math and language arts. CBS News correspondent Elaine Quijano reports there has been a backlash against the new standards, and some parents are having their kids opt out of the exam.

Bao Bao, the Smithsonian National Zoo's panda cub, is approaching a big turning point in her life: leaving her mother to live on her own. Take a behind-the-scenes look at a moment that's emotional but essential for the 18-month-old.
