Rally 'round Ted?
Republican Party veteran Lindsey Graham once quipped that nobody would be too upset "if you killed Ted Cruz on the floor of the Senate." Now he's backed Cruz's 2016 bid for the White House. Will other GOP leaders rally around Cruz as the only man capable of stopping Donald Trump?
Guilt by association
Even before the rise of Donald Trump, Senate Republicans were girding for possible losses. They have 24 senators up for reelection. Democrats only have 10, and they have already set upon a strategy of tying Republican candidates to their party's controversial front-runner.
Candidate fatigue
Voters in the key swing state of Florida are venting their frustration over the available options in the 2016 presidential race. As our fed-up focus group clearly demonstrates, there's plenty of pent-up anger for the front-runners of both parties.
Squeezing ISIS
President Obama's Special Envoy on Iraq and Syria has told CBS News that ISIS is running short of money because of the U.S. bombing campaign. In a rare interview, Brett McGurk also said Russia could be growing weary of propping up Syrian dictator Bashar Assad. What are the implications for the 5-year war?
Arthritis pain
Tylenol acetaminophen is a popular choice for treating arthritis pain, but a new study finds it does virtually no good for most patients with the condition. The study, the largest of its kind to date, looked at the most effective pain relievers for osteoarthritis and may lead doctors to rethink their recommendations.
Animals vs. earnings
SeaWorld's pledge to stop breeding orcas came as a surprise to many, given the company's resistance over the years to change. But the theme park is only the latest major U.S. company to revamp its practices in view of mounting public concern over animal welfare.
Detroit pizza
You know about Chicago's deep dish and New York's Neapolitan, but when it comes to pizza, the hippest slice in the states right now could come from Detroit. Like most things in Motor City, Detroit's pie can trace its roots back to the auto industry.
