Deadly deluge
South Carolina, still reeling from the effects of deadly, historic flooding, is preparing for the possibility of even more rain. The storms have already cut off entire communities, forced the closure of more than 500 roads and bridges and left 40,000 people without access to drinking water.
Christie on guns
The New Jersey governor and GOP presidential candidate usually touts his ability to reach across the aisle, but he's taking a different approach on gun control. Since launching his campaign, Christie has disavowed the notion that he's anything other than a firm Second Amendment supporter. In fact, the governor has signed several laws to regulate the possession of firearms in his state.
Gun shop suit
A trial that could set a gun law precedent is resuming in Milwaukee. Two police officers who were shot in the line of duty are suing the owners of a gun store, claiming they were negligent in selling the weapon used in the shooting.
Trump swag
Donald Trump's organization is taking legal action to block online campaign paraphernalia vendors from cashing in on his name. In a copy of a cease-and-desist letter obtained by CBSMoneyWatch, the Trump Organization's lawyer accuses a California Internet marketing firm of cyberpiracy and trademark infringement.
Trade deal
The proposed Trans Pacific Partnership trade agreement, which has drawn fire from labor groups and environmentalists, is far from guaranteed to win congressional approval. But some experts think the pact could open opportunities for U.S. companies and heighten American influence in Asia.
Thync
Wearable technology enables users to track how many steps they take or how many calories they eat, but Thync, a new product on the wearable market, doesn't try to change the number on the scale. Instead, it wants to change your mood -- using electric stimulation.
