GOPeace talks
Presumptive Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump is to meet today with House Speaker Paul Ryan -- who has so far refused to throw his backing behind the billionaire -- to try and mend the rift in the name of party unity. Trump has voiced optimism, saying "if you agree on 70 percent, that's always a lot." But finding that much common ground could prove a tall order.
Money men
Donald Trump's rise has many on the right saying they'll sit out the presidential race entirely, focus their energies on helping the GOP hold the Senate and re-engage on the national level come 2020. Americans for Prosperity, the Koch brothers-backed group that spent tens of millions of dollars opposing President Obama in 2012, may be among them.
Basic rights
Employees at some of America's largest poultry processing plants are routinely denied bathroom breaks, leading some to avoid drinking liquids and others to wear diapers while on the job, according to a year-long investigation.
