Shrinking Union
British voters have decided in an historic referendum that the U.K. shall not remain a member of the 28-nation European Union, the free trade bloc that rose from the ashes of World War II. The decision in favor of "Brexit" hit financial markets hard, and the ramifications are only just beginning.
Brexit casualty
It would be hard to overstate the shock and the consequences of the U.K. referendum -- and not just in Britain, and not just in Europe. The British pound saw its biggest one day fall ever, and British Prime Minister David Cameron -- a beaten man -- has announced his resignation.
Same-sex marriage
As they have for more than three years, a majority of Americans say it should be legal for same-sex couples to marry. A year after the Supreme Court ruled that the U.S. Constitution guarantees the right to same-sex marriage, we find out how views on the issue have changed.
NYC Pride
A record crowd is expected this weekend at the NYC Pride march, an annual celebration of gay rights that began in 1970. But this year, after the massacre at a gay nightclub in Orlando, it may feel different. The entire area is under increased police protection.
Blue on Blue
Kamala Harris, California's Democratic attorney general, came in first in the Golden State's senate primary earlier this month and is advancing to the general election. But unlike every other senate race in the country, she won't be facing off against a Republican in November, but a fellow Democrat.
