Chrysler penalty
Fiat Chrysler is preparing to pay a record fine for mishandling safety recalls on millions of vehicles. The $105 million penalty is the largest-ever imposed by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. CBS News Correspondent Kris Van Cleave reports on the settlement that also forces the carmaker to buy back hundreds of thousands of trucks.
Obama in Ethiopia
President Obama inspected an Ethiopian honor guard and stood with Prime Minister Hailemariam Desalegn earlier today, but ceremony could not obscure a decade of harsh single-party rule, harassment of journalists and the jailing of dissidents. CBS News Chief White House Correspondent Major Garrett reports from Addis Ababa.
Sisters reunite
In a surprising family connection during the gunfire last week at Louisiana movie theater, two sisters were both at the chaotic shooting scene, but for very different reasons. One was inside, enjoying an evening out. The other rushed to the attack to help victims. CBS News Correspondent David Begnaud reports on their emotional reunion.
Marines return
Rows of American flag-draped coffins rested on pavement cracked by the relentless heat of a tropical summer sun. For over a half century, the Marines inside the caskets had been deemed "unrecoverable," lost to time, history and the families who never forgot them. On Saturday -- after 10 years of research and thanks to the determination of one man to uphold the military tradition of leaving no man behind -- the remains of nearly 40 Marines began their final journey home.
Greek balancing act
Under the country's recent debt deal with its creditors, Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras has proposed raising taxes and cutting subsidies for the country's maritime industry, a global powerhouse that dominates the world's oceans and has made some Greeks billionaires. It is a delicate balancing act.
Conflicting information
A new study shows many new mothers receive inadequate or conflicting advice when facing questions about how to care for their babies. The study, published today in the journal Pediatrics, surveyed mothers of infants between two and six months old and found they commonly received infant care advice from doctors, nurses or family members that is inconsistent with existing recommendations.
Bobbi Kristina
Bobbi Kristina Brown, the daughter of singers Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown died yesterday at a hospice, her family confirmed, several months after being found unresponsive in a bathtub. Stars reacted to Brown's death.
