Circling the wagons

A U.S. senator and liberal icon, who remained neutral throughout the Democratic primaries, has now formally thrown her support behind Hillary Clinton. Her move is yet another sign the Democratic establishment -- including the progressive wing, which has long been skeptical of Clinton -- is falling in line.

Stanford assault

Ex-Stanford swimmer Brock Turner, who was convicted of the sexual assault of an unconscious woman and whose six-month-plus-probation sentence has been the subject of a firestorm of controversy, has reportedly been banned for life by USA Swimming.

Presidential pull

President Obama has offered a full-throated endorsement of Hillary Clinton's campaign, saying he's excited to hit the campaign trail with her next week and in the months ahead. We look at why he'll be one of the few sitting presidents in recent history to play an active role in his successor's election bid.

Trumped

When U.S. corporations balked at sponsoring the PGA Tour's World Elite Golf Championship at Donald Trump's Miami resort, one Mexican billionaire, who has been an outspoken critic of the presumptive Republican nominee, seized an opportunity to score one for his country, at Trump's expense.

Scamming us all

After our investigation exposed an insurance scam in which members of the U.S. military have been duped into getting unnecessary medical tests -- at taxpayers' expense -- federal agents are now trying to determine who made money off the dodgy dealings, and how much.

Tight secEuroty

One of the biggest sports championships in the world has kicked off in France -- under the tightest security and likely the jitteriest nerves ever. The Euro 2016 soccer championships will draw an estimated 2 million visitors to the country which has been left reeling over the past year by multiple terrorist attacks.

Polly saw a murder

Can a parrot serve as a witness in a murder trial? That's a question prosecutors are trying to answer in a case where a Michigan man was shot and killed in his home last year. Weeks later, his African grey parrot apparently mimicked what may have been an argument before the shooting.

Malia's graduation

It will be a day of tears and happiness for President Obama and his family as his oldest daughter, Malia, receives her high school diploma. We've watched her grow up for 12 years, and the president has shared his emotional struggle with this milestone. We look back at the special father-daughter relationship.

No profit

"Hamilton," the most coveted ticket on Broadway, is also a money-making machine, generating $500,000 in profit every week. But giant hits are an exception, with only 1 in 5 productions earning back what they cost. Why are most shows losing money even as audiences are flocking to Broadway?
