Path finders

The campaign is headed to South Carolina, one of the last states where the candidates will compete on the same turf. After that primary contest and the Nevada caucuses on Feb. 23, the candidates will fan out in anticipation of Super Tuesday and its 13 different races -- each eyeing a different path to victory.

"Political revolution"

Bernie Sanders was expected to win, but his victory in the New Hampshire primary was a rout. In his boyhood neighborhood in Brooklyn, Sanders tells "CBS Evening News" anchor Scott Pelley about his plan for America, and how he expects to keep winning as the road becomes more difficult.

Beating dementia

It's been widely predicted that the U.S. is headed toward an explosion in cases of Alzheimer's and other types of dementia as the population ages. But new research is bringing hope; the rate of new dementia cases is actually declining, and experts think they have a pretty good idea why.

TSA academy

We get a look at the TSA's unprecedented move to improve airport security. The agency is training all its new screeners at one centralized academy in Glynco, Georgia. The facility was created after a number of missteps raised doubts about the TSA's ability to properly screen airline passengers.

Snake hunt

The hunt is on in the Florida Everglades for an out-of-control snake species. Burmese pythons aren't venomous, but they are big, strong and deadly, and they're threatening the delicate native ecosystem. Now, hundreds of people will compete for a big cash prize in a month-long "Python Challenge."

Going driverless

Driverless cars increasingly look like the future, with some experts touting them as "death-proof." But insurers are less sure, predicting that the emerging technology will eliminate some risks while creating others. We look at how the insurance industry is preparing for self-driving vehicles.

Lionel Richie

Some of music's biggest acts are getting together Saturday to say "Hello" to Lionel Richie. The four-time Grammy winner is being honored as the 2016 MusiCares "Person of the Year" for his remarkable career and charitable work. He'll join a group that includes Bob Dylan, Paul McCartney and Stevie Wonder.
