Terror probe

Investigators in New York and New Jersey are trying to piece together alleged bomber Ahmad Khan Rahami’s path to violence. There’s new information about the bombs found on both sides of the Hudson River, and Rhami’s travels and activities are beginning to build a picture of the suspect who was arrested yesterday after a shootout.

Politics of terror

The bombings in New York and New Jersey have returned terrorism to the forefront of the presidential campaign discussion. Donald Trump says profiling is needed to keep terrorists out of the U.S., while Hillary Clinton says Trump’s language is inspiring ISIS and other terror groups.

Pulse nightclub shooting survivor Chriss West describes those who regularly partied at the club as “a family.” That family changed forever early on June 12, with the loss of 49 lives. West tells CBS’ Orlando affiliate about the evening that started with love, fun and friendship, but turned to mayhem.

Bono

U2 is marking its 40th year in the music business. Lead singer Bono is also well-known for his philanthropic work around the world. He’s in New York this week for the United Nations General Assembly, and tells Charlie Rose about his activism, music and his view on U.S. politics.
