Prison break
The two killers who cut their way out of a maximum-security prison apparently used tools routinely stored there by contractors, taking care to return them to their toolboxes after each night's work so that no one would notice, a prosecutor said yesterday. District Attorney Andrew Wylie also said Joyce Mitchell, the prison tailoring shop instructor charged with helping the men escape, backed out at the last minute because she still loved her husband and felt guilty about participating, reports CBS News Correspondent Anna Werner.
Black or white?
Rachel Dolezal, the embattled president of Spokane's NAACP chapter, faces more troubling questions. Many accuse her of lying about her race. She abruptly canceled a Monday meeting where she planned to explain herself. CBS News Correspondent John Blackstone reports on more revelations from Dolezal's adopted brother.
Shell-shocked Yemen
As Yemen's embattled U.S.-backed government sits down for peace talks today in Geneva with the Houthi rebels, CBS News Correspondent Clarissa Ward has a rare look at the destruction wrought inside the country by weeks of fighting and relentless Saudi airstrikes. Upon landing at Sanaa's airport, the first thing Ward and her team saw was an airplane sitting on the tarmac, nearly cut in half by a missile.
Making it official
Six months ago, Jeb Bush announced he would "actively explore" a run for president in 2016. Since then, he has held 44 campaign-like events in 17 states, according to a CBS News count, and raised millions of dollars for "Right to Rise," the name of both his leadership PAC and super PAC. But later today Bush will officially announce that he will jump into the race. Here are five things to know about Jeb Bush:
Single president?
As Sen. Lindsey Graham competes for the Republican nomination, he will staunchly defend his positions on troops in Iraq or immigration. He'll also staunchly defend his right to be a bachelor in the White House. "I am single, like many other people. If you've got a good marriage, God bless you. If you're single, there's nothing wrong with you," Graham, the 59-year-old unmarried senator from South Carolina said to John Dickerson on CBS News Face the Nation.
Rise of telemedicine
The number of people using their phones and computers to connect with a doctor is skyrocketing. Eight-hundred thousand online patient consultations are expected this year, and that number could double in 2016. Dr. Holly Phillips reports on apps changing the digital diagnosis landscape.
Robot saviors
It could turn out to be mankind's biggest technological leap forward: Artificial Intelligence, or AI for short -- unless all the AI-endowed robots decide to take over for us someday. David Pogue of Yahoo Tech takes a look for CBS News Sunday Morning at how cutting edge robots are being built to rescue humans in disasters.
Costly drivers
School is out, and that means America's roads are filled with teenage drivers. According to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, while young people ages 15 to 24 make up only 14 percent of the overall population, they account for nearly one-third of the total costs of motor vehicle injuries. The drivers' sex and time of year are also important factors.
Rustling bees
In parts of the country, there is still a critical shortage of bees, but there is still no shortage of bee thieves. When the almond orchards blossom in California, bee colonies are rented and brought in from across the country to pollinate the flowers. Colony collapse disorder, the mysterious ailment that killed so many bees, is no longer as deadly but bees are still disappearing, falling victim to bee rustlers.
