Terrorist suspects cornered

The suspects in the terror attack on a newspaper's Paris office were located again this morning after stealing a car near a highway northeast of the French capital, then reportedly holing up with at least one hostage on an industrial site. There was gunfire and heavy police activity around the town of Dammartin-en-Goële, about 25 miles northeast of Paris, which falls within the corridor that became the focus of the manhunt. Free college

President Obama will announce a proposal Friday for two years of free community college. The goal is to make a college education more accessible. CBS News White House correspondent Bill Plante reports the plan combines federal and state funding to cover the first two years of costs. It will take legislation -- and approval -- from a Republican-led Congress to make it happen, and the White House knows that is a high hurdle.

Working retail

Many workers shy away from retail jobs, believing they're occupations with low pay, low benefits and low opportunity. Is that true? Are they mostly dead-end, minimum wage jobs?

CO or flu?

As temperatures plunge across the U.S., the risk rises for a persistent winter health hazard: carbon monoxide poisoning. Now health officials are warning that its early symptoms can sometimes be mistaken for the flu, a mix-up that could prove deadly.

Christie's Cowboys cost

There was a time when New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie and wife Mary Pat Foster were so poor that they would save up their vacation money to travel to Dallas for Cowboys games, but still wouldn't be able to afford the parking. Times have changed. Christie, his wife and four children traveled to the Cowboys' most recent game in a private jet -- paid for by team owner Jerry Jones -- and watched from Jones' private stadium suite. Here is an estimate of the costs.

Blue Bloods

To say the "Blue Bloods" cast members are dedicated is probably an understatement. Many of the actors relocated to New York for the show, for one. And the tight-knit TV family members you see sitting at the dinner table each week are like a family when they're away from the set, too. And now they are gathering around the dinner table for their 100th episode.

$4 to Elvis

Angie Marchese is holding early Elvis -- as early as it gets. "This is the holy grail of rock 'n' roll. The very first acetate, the very first song Elvis ever recorded," ," said Marchese, the director of archives of Graceland. In 1953, Elvis Presley was 18 and driving a truck. CBS News correspondent Mark Strassmann reports that, at Sun Studio in Memphis, Presley paid $4 to record a record -- legend has it, a birthday gift for his mother. By 1956, he was Elvis.
