Police shooting
The white police officer charged with murdering an unarmed black man in South Carolina is out of a job. For the first time yesterday, the man who caught the incident on videotape spoke out. Vicente Arenas reports from the Charleston County Detention Center, where former officer Michael Slager is being held without bail.
Tsarnaev sentencing
The prosecution will go first next week when the penalty phase begins in the trial of Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, who is facing a possible death sentence for planting a bomb at the Boston Marathon. CBS News legal analyst Rikki Klieman says the prosecution will call witnesses they've saved specifically for this final phase.
Iran nuclear deal
The Obama administration is making an all-out effort to sell the Iran nuclear deal to Congress. Iranian President Hassan Rouhani says his country will only sign the final deal if sanctions are lifted the same day. Norah O'Donnell asks Secretary of State John Kerry about the potential impact of lifting sanctions against the Islamic Republic.
Room for Huckabee?
If former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee makes a second bid for the presidency, as he has hinted he might, he'll benefit from the base of support he built in Iowa eight years ago. He can't, however, take that backing for granted. "2016 is not 2008," warns Family Leader president Bob Vander Plaats, who served as Huckabee's Iowa campaign chairman in 2008.
"Inspiration and a mentor"
Bob Schieffer, the anchor of CBS News' "Face the Nation," announced yesterday that he will retire this summer after more than 50 years of working in journalism. Schieffer, 78, has been with CBS News for 46 years. 2015 marked his 24th year anchoring "Face the Nation."
Hummus recall
The Sabra Dipping Company is recalling about 30,000 cases of its Classic Hummus due to the possibility of listeria contamination. The company announced the recall yesterday, saying it involves 10-ounce, 30-ounce and 32-ounce packages, 17-ounce Six-Pack packages and 23.5-ounce Dual Packs.
An NFL first
