Sunday: Bernie Sanders, Marco Rubio, and John Kasich

Another raucous GOP debate and a tightening Democratic race ensure that the final few weeks before the Iowa caucuses and New Hampshire primary will be an exciting time on the campaign trail, and "Face the Nation" will bring you the latest this Sunday.

We'll sit down with Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders in Burlington, the city where his political career began as a mayor, to discuss his battle with Hillary Clinton for the Democratic nomination. Polls show Sanders cutting into Clinton's lead nationally, and a close race in early voting states, as both Clinton and Sanders draw sharper contrasts with each other on the campaign trail. We'll ask Sanders how he sees the race playing out.

On the Republican side, we'll talk with Florida Sen. Marco Rubio, who threw - and took - some punches on the GOP debate stage this week. Polls show Rubio in a competitive but not-quite-formidable position a few weeks before voters begin casting ballots. Can he defeat his rivals to claim the Republican nomination?

We'll also sit down with Ohio Gov. John Kasich, another candidate hoping emerge as the favorite of mainstream Republicans and take the fight to conservative favorites Donald Trump and Ted Cruz. The governor has pinned his hopes on New Hampshire and is now tied for second in several polls there - could he get a ticket to ride out of the Granite State's primary?

And as always, we'll have an expert political panel to help us wade through the flotsam and jetsam. Washington Post columnist Michael Gerson, the Wall Street Journal's Gerald Seib, the Atlantic's Molly Ball, and PBS' Tavis Smiley, the author of "The Covenant: Ten Years Later," will join us.

It's going to be an exciting broadcast, so make sure you tune in! Check your local listings for airtimes.
