Lindsay Lohan: I have "Mean Girls" sequel idea, will "harass" Tina Fey to write

More than a decade has passed since "Mean Girls" was first released, but Lindsay Lohan says she would be on board for a sequel.

The 28-year-old actress even says she has a "fetch" plot idea.

"I was with ['Mean Girls' writer] Tina Fey the other day and I said we should do another 'Mean Girls,' like an older version where they're all housewives and they're all cheating. That would be really funny," Lohan told Time Out London.

The actress joked that she'll pester Fey until the project gets off the ground.

"I'll harass Tina to write it," Lohan said.

"Mean Girls" became a breakout hit when it premiered in 2004. The cult teen comedy, which was made on a budget of $17 million, took in over $129 million during its initial theatrical run.

Lohan recently moved to London, where she made her theatrical debut Wednesday in West End production of David Mamet's "Speed the Plow," which runs at the Playhouse Theatre until Nov. 29.
