Hilarious Stephen Colbert marquee takes over "Late Show" theater

Stephen Colbert is at it again.

With Colbert's first appearance on the "Late Show" coming up Sept. 8, the iconic Ed Sullivan Theater is undergoing renovations in preparation for the new host. At the same time, Colbert and the CBS team have launched a gonzo marketing campaign, from making existential mockumentary YouTube videos to impersonating Donald Trump to interviewing Eminem on an obscure public access television station in Michigan.

Now Colbert has extended his hilarity to the Ed Sullivan marquee, where he poses in an ad for the Italian restaurant Angelo's next door to the theater. The ad appears to be temporary. It's everything you've ever wanted.

The old marquee:

And the new one:

We'll see you in September, Mr. Colbert.
