Bethenny Frankel returning to "The Real Housewives of New York City"

The reports are true: A familiar housewife is back.

Bethenny Frankel is officially returning to "The Real Housewives of New York City," announcing the news Monday on her personal blog.

"After many years of hesitation, I have decided to return to my roots on 'The Real Housewives of New York City.' I have been through a long and arduous road since my departure, and I'm finally coming out on the other side. It finally feels right to go home again," she wrote. "The idea of doing the show feels exciting and refreshing, like it did at the beginning all those years ago. New faces, new circumstances, and in many ways, a new me and a new life."

In 2010, Frankel revealed she was quitting the series. While away from the show, she and her then-fiance, Jason Hoppy, starred in "Bethenny Getting Married?" along with "Bethenny Ever After." They also had a daughter together named Bryn. The couple parted ways in 2012.

Frankel also had her own talk show, which was canceled in February. In her new blog post, Frankel admits she was hesitant to return to television after her talk show ended, explaining, "I've been through a lot personally, and I wasn't sure I wanted to expose myself to any more public scrutiny."

Frankel, though, appears to be looking forward to the "Real Houswives" return, noting, "I am truly coming from 'a place of yes,' which is the only way to approach anything in life. This feels like the Eagles 'Hell Freezes Over' tour, but never say never."

The upcoming season of Bravo's series will also feature Carole Radziwill, Heather Thomson, Kristen Taekman, LuAnn de Lesseps, Ramona Singer and Sonja Morgan.
