Pleasant, sunny Veterans Day in North Texas

DFW temperatures climb back into the 80s by end of the week

It was a nice but windy day across North Texas, the high topped out at 72 degrees and the winds peaked at 31 mph.

Wednesday, the low will be in the low 50s and upper 40s in the morning, and a jacket will be needed when heading out the door for work, but not when coming home. The high will be in the mid-70s.

A ridge of high pressure continues to build throughout this work week, allowing for temperatures to peak around 80 degrees on Thursday. The warmer-than-average temperatures are likely through the weekend. Winds will kick up from the south at the end of the week. Gusts 20 to 30 mph at times.

The next low-pressure system is expected to move through the area later than originally forecasted. As of now, there is a chance of rain at the end of the weekend and the start of the next work week. The forecast is still being ironed out and monitored closely by the First Alert Weather Team.
