Warner Bros. adding "Wonder Woman" and more to superhero slate

Warner Bros. will turn to superheroes, more hits from the creator of Harry Potter and the surprisingly successful Lego franchise to drive its box office numbers higher.

The film studio plans to release at least 10 superhero movies over four years from its comic book unit DC Entertainment, beginning with 2016's "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice." The slate includes "Suicide Squad" (2016), 'Wonder Woman" starring Gal Gadot (2017), ''Justice League Part One" (2017, directed by Snyder with Ben Affleck, Amy Adams and Henry Cavill reprising their roles), "The Flash" (2018, starring Ezra Miller of "The Perks of Being a Wallflower") and "Aquaman" (2018, with "Game of Thrones" actor Jason Momoa).

There will also be a "Justice League Part Two" directed by Snyder coming in 2019 and a "Green Lantern" reboot slated for 2020, per The Hollywood Reporter.

In addition, Warner Bros. plans to release three Lego sequels after the "The Lego Movie" packed theaters across the country and it will also release three movies written by "Harry Potter" author J.K. Rowling.

The studio also announced it signed a deal to bring the popular TV series "Friends" to Netflix.
