Battle for Sinjar

Kurdish forces fighting to retake the strategic northwest Iraq city of Sinjar from ISIS militants have pushed into the city "from all four directions." Debate expectations

CBS News "Face the Nation" anchor John Dickerson will be the principal moderator of the second Democratic primary debate, and he answered a few questions about what he hopes voters will see and hear in the Saturday contest between Hillary Clinton, Bernie Sanders and Martin O'Malley -- a field winnowed by two since the candidates last met.

World's largest couch

As the second Democratic primary debate unfolds in Des Moines, Twitter's goal is that its users everywhere will be able to experience the face-off as if they were watching together "on the world's largest couch." The social media company's partnership with CBS News for the live event marks the first time it will have an official presence in a presidential debate.

The Granados tell CBS News why Kristie is now one of 111 women in 28 states included in a lawsuit against the companies that made and packaged the contraceptives.

Delivery fight

California-based In-N-Out Burger is suing DoorDash, an online delivery company, for trademark infringement. They say the company is ripping off their logo, and that their brand can be hurt by cold or slow deliveries they have no control over. The West Coast burger giant is putting up a serious fight.

"Ocearch" for sharks

Ocearch is wrapping up its first-ever expedition in the Gulf of Mexico. "CBS This Morning" has followed the group of fishermen and scientists for years as they track and tag sharks around the world. Five years after the Deepwater Horizon spill, parts of the Gulf are teeming with life, and that's giving Ocearch a rare chance to look at how many sharks are there, and where they're going.
