Cincinnati violence

Police in Cincinnati are investigating a violent assault over the weekend that sent a man to the hospital. New video posted on social media shows a 27-year-old being punched and stomped on the street Saturday evening. The victim is later seen lying unconscious as people around him laugh. The police incident report initially characterized the attack as involving "anti-white" violence but then retracted that description. CBS News correspondent Adriana Diaz reports the disturbing incident was one of several in Cincinnati over the July Fourth holiday.

Late talks

With the second self-imposed deadline for negotiators to hammer out a final nuclear agreement with Iran just hours away, U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry was making a final push in Vienna to try to block Tehran's path to a potential nuclear. CBS News correspondent Margaret Brennan reports negotiations in the Austrian capital went through the night and into this morning as the U.S. and other world powers faced off against Iran -- but the parties still seemed to be at odds over issues that have tripped them up since the talks began.

Iowa support

Iowa was the beginning of Hillary Clinton's undoing in 2008. Despite the aura of inevitability that surrounded her (admittedly, that aura seems stronger in 2016 so far), she ended up finishing in third place in the Iowa caucuses, eight percentage points behind then-Sen. Barack Obama and former Sen. John Edwards. The loss was in part due to a dismal showing among voters under 30 years of age, 57 percent of whom caucused for Obama. Just 11 percent went to Clinton. Will that be the case in 2016?

Sweetgreen

A salad chain dreamed up by three college students is shaking up the restaurant business. Sweetgreen is now open in 30 locations, from Washington, D.C., to Boston, to California. Just last week, the company announced a much bigger bowl of green: nearly $100 million in venture funding. CBS News correspondent Julianna Goldman reports on why major investors are digging in.

Weekend healthcare

Patients have a heightened risk of death when admitted to a hospital over the weekend in several developed countries, according to a recent study. The research confirms the so-called "weekend effect" on hospital death rates. This rate varies from country to country. Find out how the U.S. rated.

Floater insurance

We all know it's crucial to make sure your home is fully protected with homeowners insurance. But those policies can have gaps in them. Many don't cover all your possessions. So, Ariel Investments President Mellody Hobson says, to make sure your valuable items are covered, you should consider obtaining additional coverage, called "floater insurance."
