Simon Cowell signs "X Factor" girl group Fifth Harmony
Simon Cowell may have a new super group on his hands.
He just signed girl group and third-place finisher Fifth Harmony to his label, Syco Music, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
"I knew from the girls' first performance at the judges' homes that we'd done the right thing," Cowell said in a statement. "The chemistry between the girls both onstage and off is fantastic, and they are incredibly talented."
Fifth Harmony competed on the second season of Cowell's TV competition. The gals are Ally Brooke, 19; Camila Cabello, 15; Normani Hamilton, 16; Dinah Jane Hansen, 15; and Lauren Jauregui, 16.
Cowell was the mastermind behind popular U.K. boy band, One Direction.
Fifth Harmony will soon put together a debut album produced by Julian Bunetta who has worked with One Direction and Leona Lewis.
