Rihanna's fashion collection to debut in February

Rihanna is set to unveil her collection for British brand River Island during next month's London Fashion Week.

Fashion week organizers listed the pop star on its official calendar of fall previews as they sent out registration materials on Thursday to the editors, stylists and retailers who cover designer collections.

The 24-year-old's first collection of clothing and accessories will be shown on Feb. 16. Items will be available in River Island stores in Great Britain, and in the United States and Japan at Opening Ceremony starting on March 5.

"Launching at London Fashion Week is a dream come true for me," Rihanna said in a statement, according to British Vogue. "I have wanted to design my own collection for a long time and to present my collection for River Island alongside all of the other great design talent at LFW is a real privilege. I can't wait to see the reaction from my fans and the fashion press!"

"We are very excited to present our Rihanna for River Island collection at London Fashion Week," added Ben Lewis, River Island's chief executive. "This is the perfect platform to showcase Rihanna's design talent and ambition."

Rihanna already has another fashion commitment this year: She signed on to executive produce and star in the Style network reality series "Styled to Rock."
